Olive Branch Security & Threat Mitigations was born from a shared calling between two friends Mark Rodriguez and Ryan Thomas—men united by faith, brotherhood, and a deep desire to protect what matters most. With backgrounds rooted in service, discipline, and integrity Mark and Ryan saw a growing need for private security that goes beyond tactical security that is principled, personal, and purpose driven. Their vision was clear: to create a company that not only safeguards people and property, but also stands as a shield for the vulnerable, the innocent, and those who cannot stand alone. Guided by the belief that protection is a form of stewardship, Olive Branch was founded to deliver elite security services with uncompromising standards and trusted expertise. Every member of our team shares this commitment—to serve with honor, to act with courage, and to protect with conviction. Ryan Thomas is an accomplished senior security professional with over three decades of distinguished service across federal and Department of Defense communities. Proven expertise in executive protection, critical infrastructure protection, counterterrorism/antiterrorism, surveillance/countersurveillance, and tactical operations within both CONUS and OCONUS environments.
Served as a Senior Federal Agent for the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA/OST), supporting high-threat protective missions safeguarding classified nuclear convoys and national security assets. Directed tactical teams, trained federal agents in advanced firearms and defensive tactics, and established critical SOPs for active shooter and counter-surveillance operations.
Decorated U.S. Marine Corps Platoon Sergeant with extensive combat and dignitary protection experience.
Holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA), B.S. in Criminal Justice, and advanced studies toward a Doctorate in Public Policy (National Security). Known for exceptional leadership, training, and cross-functional coordination among law enforcement, intelligence, and military units, and recognized for operational excellence, mission integrity, and unwavering commitment to national defense.
Mark Rodriguez brings a distinguished background in military, law enforcement, and federal protective operations. As a former U.S. Marine, Patrol Officer, and Special Operations Response Officer for the Department of Energy, Mark’s operational experience spans routine patrol duties, tactical interventions, and protection of high-value, high-risk facilities. This diverse background provides the foundation for Olive Branch's disciplined, intelligence-driven approach to modern security challenges.
His expertise in behavioral analysis, risk mitigation, and high-threat incident management directly shapes the company’s commitment to offering proactive, faith-aligned, and community-focused safety solutions.
